The Project

All members will be aware of the project to renovate the clubhouse.

We were fortunate to obtain funding from HS2 and, thanks to the generosity of members in donating and loaning funds, and those who rolled up their sleeves in the planning and application were able to start in November 2021.

What are we doing?

To retain the character of the much-loved building the footprint is remaining largely unchanged.

The structure has failed in many places causing windows (past their prime anyway) to sag and droop and the aim is to replace the supporting woodwork and windows, replace the exterior cladding and refurbish the interior.

As you can see there has already been significant progress and our thanks go to all those who have put in work to get this far. We do need people to continue to volunteer and, if you can help, please contact Jonathan Carter or Richard Foyle

You can see more detail here.
