Trojans<\/h2>\n\n\n

A session for the youngest members of the club aged 4-8 aimed at getting them out on the water in a boat with an adult. Trojans is primarily for members of the club but we may be able welcome friends or youngsters with an interest in sailing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members can just come down to the Club on a Trojan Saturday – you’ll find upcoming dates on this page (click the date for more info) – to join your friends on the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be a fun range of stuff on offer from just messing about to racing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Generally sessions run like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11:00am – 12:00pm<\/strong><\/td>Session starts<\/td><\/tr>
12:00pm – 1:30pm<\/strong><\/td>Lunch\/BBQ (weather permitting).<\/td><\/tr>
1:30pm – 2:00pm<\/strong><\/td>Briefing\/boat allocation\/rigging boats.<\/td><\/tr>
2:00pm – 3:00pm<\/strong><\/td>Organised fun activities with some informal teaching on hand if wanted.<\/td><\/tr>
3:00pm – 4:00pm<\/strong><\/td>Free sailing with safety cover.<\/td><\/tr>
4:00pm – 4:30pm<\/strong><\/td>Boats packed away.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

RYA OnBoard<\/h2>\n\n\n

We’re proud that RSC joined the RYA’s OnBoard programme<\/a> in 2020. OnBoard is a really successful programme that helps to make sailing and windsurfing easier to access for 8-18 year olds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a while now RSC’s Trojans has been a great way for younger members to have fun at the club and to join their friends on the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, that’s going to continue but now we’ll be a part of the RYA’s great OnBoard programme too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ll also continue to offer training from the RYA’s Youth Sailing Scheme so that even more young people in the area can benefit from these fantastic qualifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We look forward to working closely with the RYA’s OnBoard team to promote, encourage and develop young people’s use of the club and its water.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s great to welcome Rickmansworth Sailing Club to the OnBoard programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting out on the water has a huge amount of benefits, no matter what your age, background or ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
